From The Desk Of Pastor Swann

I greet you, my brothers and sisters in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, thanking him for this blessed and glorious occasion. For 18 years the Lord has blessed this branch of Zion, the Mt. Enon Missionary Baptist Church, to stand and prosper in the will and way of the Lord. To God be the Glory!

As we reflect and celebrate, we must never forget the hard work and dedication of those who have gone before us and paved the way. We must praise God for the vision of Pastor Willie J. Mason, whom God touched and showed the need for a Church that would not compromise with the world, but stand strong in the Word of God. We must praise God for the leadership of Pastor Cleveland T. A. Mason, II, whom God used mightly to carry on the work that was begun by Pastor Willie Mason, taking Mt. Enon higher and higher in Christ. We must thank God for Deacon and Sis. Brown, and Sis. Nellie Mason, whom God used to pillars of strength in those times of discouragement, and uncertainty. We must praise God for those whom the Lord called home to glory before receiving the promise, or seeing the fruits of their labors. Through it all, the High's and the Low's, the Triumphs and the Failures, the Lord used these individuals and their experiences to make Mt. Enon what it is today.

As Pastor of Mt. Enon, I can not express the joy that I feel when I think about all of the blessings the Lord has bestowed upon us, and to know that he is not finished with us yet. Let us continue forward therefore; pressing towards the mark for the prize of the high calling of God which is Christ Jesus. Let us continue to echo the words of those who have gone on before us,"We've Come this far by Faith, leaning and depending upon the Lord, trusting in his holy Word- he' never failed us yet: We can't turn around, for we've come this far by Faith!"
